After reviewing the submissions received in consultation, the Minister of Education has determined that from 1 January 2020 the AMFM will be set at 2%, with an additional 2% permitted for those who successfully apply for an exception.
A notice about the proposed increase, including the process for allowing exceptions to the AMFM, was published in the New Zealand Gazette.
More information about how to apply for an exception for AMFM for 2020 will be updated over the coming week on the SAC level 3 and above fund page, under the ‘Qualifications and courses’ tab.
