Lectures will be included in the program of the exhibition “Preserving the culture. The Roerich Museum at ENEA”.

In the lecture hall The state Museum of Oriental held a series of lectures dedicated to the Roerichs family. The first lecture will be held on 1 October, it will talk about Vasco da Gama and the first colonists in India, China and Japan. Thanks to the Portuguese discoverers of Europe became acquainted with traditional Asian art — art carving in ivory, specimens of which are in the collection of the Roerichs.

In the exhibition “Preserving the culture. Museum of the Roerichs” presented 600 works — paintings of Nicholas and Svetoslav Roerich, Eastern Tibetan relics and icons, collected by Roerich during the expedition to India and Central Asia.

The exhibition covers all the periods of creativity of Nikolay and Svyatoslav Roerich. Guests will see not only such famous works as “Miracle”, “the last angel” and “Armageddon”, but also paintings from the updated exposure — this summer, the Museum of the Roerichs joined 180 works that has never been exhibited.
