The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, updated the House of Commons on a range of areas including Brexit, the Supreme Court judgment, no-confidence motions and a general election.

The Prime Minister told MPs,

“I was told there was no chance of a new deal but we are discussing a new deal and this is in spite of the best efforts of the party opposite and this Parliament to wreck our negotiations by their attempts to take no-deal off the table.”

Leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn responded saying,

“I am glad to see so many colleagues doing what they were elected to do – holding the Government to account for it’s failings. Whether it’s the attempts to shut down decmocracy, its sham Brexit negotiations, its chaotic and inadequate no-deal preparations, its allegations of corruption, its failure on climate change its failure to step in to save Thomas Cook. This Government is failing the people of Britain and the people of Britain know it.”
