From recitals to great performance

New performance of theatre “ApARTe” directed by Nina Grigoryeva has grown from recitals held here in March during the “Night of theaters”. A medley of the most famous works of the author like the audience, they asked him to repeat the evening. Grigorieva has decided that it is time for big, full-fledged performance. Modified the script started rehearsals.

The Director has combined several snippets from scripts of plays Volodin — “Tears dripped” “Elder sister”, “Five evenings, “Autumn marathon”, “Factory girl”, “notes of a drunken man.”

“This is somewhat short everyday human stories, sad and funny reflection on the failed happiness. The performance was done in a relatively short time — as a gift to our audience on the anniversary of Alexander Volodina” — said Nina Grigorieva.

The protagonist of the play — bygone time and its people, contemporaries Volodin. Goes on stage and is the playwright — his plays Denis Lapage. The author focuses on his characters, communicate with them, sometimes gives advice. His presence becomes the connecting link between the scenes, not United by a common story.

Familiar things and situations

On the stage — a typical Soviet interiors of apartments 1960-1970’s. Furniture, radio and television, lamps, clothes of heroes with a touch of nostalgia. On the sets and costumes worked with Elizabeth Zelensky, this is her debut in the big show.

“She finally tries to create an atmosphere. It gives the feel that time, the spirit of those years. We feel in those circumstances,” says the actor, Alexander Ivankov.

He played Paul Vasina in a scene from the play “Tears dripped”. In the same film, 1983, Georgi Daneliya, this role was performed by people’s artist of the USSR Yevgeny Leonov. Ivankov is sympathy for their characters — Vasin eyes caught a fragment of the mirror, which broke the trolls, which he began to see everything in a negative light.

“The worst thing is that he negatively changed the relationship to your family. Although, perhaps, periods of bad moods happen to everyone,” says the actor.

His colleague, honored artist of Russia Vladimir Vorobiev, in character “big sister” uncle Mitya, who took shelter from the nieces Nadia and Lida, who were left without parents.

“My uncle Mitya’s no your family and children, and he has two nieces could draw. It’s such a good Santa Claus with a mixture of bear, who constantly chastises them, though, and loves, and always remember that they are Soviet people, which was raised by the Communist party. This man felt core, nature,” — said Vladimir Vorobiev.

As his eldest niece Nadia — actress Lilia Solovieva. In the play Volodin Nadia raves about theatre, dreams of becoming an actress. But in the passage selected for the “Sad story” Nina Grigorieva, she’s just a lonely woman who wants love.

“My heroine has no time with someone to make friends, meet. So she fantasized that takes care of her head. But there is an exposure. Nadia is a shame, because she should be an example to her younger sister”, — said the actress.

Work on the nostalgic production has motivated the actors and Director on a very good-natured way. A rare case: in a “Sad Comedy” involved almost all of the troupe. However, no disputes, no quarrels — the actors say happy to communicate before and after rehearsals.

“We’re having a family situation” — sums up Lily Solovyov.

The next time the play can be seen 4 Oct and 10 Nov.
