All of Dundee City Council’s waste management sites have be rated excellent, for the third year in a row, by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), the
Neighbourhood Services Committee will hear on Monday (September 30).
The five sites are: Baldovie Transfer Station, Baldovie Recycling Centre, Riverside Recycling Centre, Riverside Landfill and Composting, and Marchbanks Reclamation Centre.
SEPA made this assessment based on two conditions: Environmental Limit Conditions, relating to emission limits and odour, and Environmental Management Conditions, with regard to ensuring environmental protection.
Councillor Anne Rendall, Convener of Neighbourhood Services Committee said: “This is fantastic news, it’s great to see that for the past three years all of our sites have been rated excellent.
“The team work very hard to ensure conditions are met and I am delighted that they are continuing to achieve this high standard.”
