Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing teenager Braidyn Richards.

The 14-year-old was last seen about 3.30pm today at North Geelong Railway Station.

Braidyn is described as 160cm tall, medium build, brown hair and was wearing black jeans, white t-shirt and a silky black jacket with a hood.

Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he requires medication which he did not have with him.

There is a possibility he may be headed to Seymour or Wangaratta.

Investigators have released a photo of Braidyn in the hope someone may recognise him and be able to provide information on his whereabouts.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Corio Police Station on 5273 9555.
