Cllr Anthony Flynn said:
“I am delighted for the Harland and Wolff workers today.
“For many of them, this development means they can pay their bills and look forward to the future.
“I also pay tribute to the Trade Unions who have shown great courage in standing up for workers and refusing to that accept that the shipyard should go to the wall.
“However, I must express my concern at some of the projects Infrastrata have involved themselves with to date.
“They were part of a bid to drill in Woodburn Forest and now they are working towards the installation of huge gas storage caverns under Larne Lough.
“I want the ship yard to play it’s part in the just transition towards a clean and sustainable economic future.”
