It is applicable to all operational level planning.

The second major edition of AJP-5, the UK and NATO’s overarching publication for operational planning was published by NATO in May 2019.
The UK version with UK national elements has now been published and should replace all previous copies.
The UK national elements amplify the text or clarify if there is a UK national position which differs to NATO. It is also formatted in UK style including images and additional aide-memoires.
