The stand of the capital will become a platform for communication of representatives of tourist industry of Moscow and the international community.

From 4 to 6 November in Moscow will take part in the 40-th international tourist exhibition World travel market in London. On the stand there will be presented leading hotel chains, tour operators and transport companies, as well as the capital’s attractions and museums — Tretyakov gallery, the observation deck Panorama 360, Museum-reserve “Tsaritsyno” and others.

According to Catherine Pronicheva, Chairman of the Moscow Tourism Committee Moscow gives endless possibilities for tourists not only thanks to the world-famous theatres, museums and masterpieces of architecture, but also the large parks, convenient infrastructure and a high level of public safety.

“For the exhibition World Travel Market, we have created a unique new stand design, which will allow to feel the drive and emotions that gives Moscow every traveler, plunging him into an incredible culture and peculiarities of the Russian capital. The main trend of modern travel — tourism experiences and an interesting, dynamic, rich in opportunities Moscow fully meets this demand,” said Catherine pronicheva.

The stand will be a platform for establishing professional networks of representatives of tourist industry of Moscow with the international community.

The basis of the visual solution to the stand — stained grid of domes, stars of the Kremlin, Stalin’s skyscrapers, bends of the Moscow river and various architectural elements. The selected colour can be found in the ensembles of the Moscow Kremlin, and the overall image of the stand — a reference to Moscow fairground and traditional carved towers.

Visitors of the stand waiting for a unique program. Here you can take part in art interactive “Build your own Moscow” and collect a collage of elements with the image of sights of Moscow, designed by the artist Maxim Goshko-Dankova, or head to the interactive VR-a journey through the history of Russian art in the world of art by world famous artists Ivan Shishkin, Natalia Goncharova and Kazimir Malevich.

Several times a day, sports blogger Theo Ogden will make a presentation of tourist potential of Moscow. The young man and his father Stephen Ogden became widely known in Russia during the world Cup in 2018 thanks to the video on YouTube in which they debunked myths about our country.

Especially for the exhibition maps of Moscow showing the main streets, attractions and walking routes, a series of guidebooks in English and Souvenirs.

World Travel Market — one of the biggest events in the tourism industry. In 2018, the exhibition was visited by 51 500 people, five thousand companies participated as exhibitors.

This year Moscow has already participated in the largest tourism forums in different countries. The first exhibition was the World Travel Market Latin America in April. The Moscow booth attracted more than five thousand professionals of the tourism industry in Latin America. The largest tourist exhibition in the Middle East Arabian Travel Market, held from 28 April to 1 may in Dubai, Moscow presented more than 30 projects and more than 8,500 professionals of the tourism industry visited the stand of the Russian capital, and its members have carried out more than 980 business meetings and negotiations.

In June, the Moscow stand was awarded a number of honours: the exhibition SITIF 2019 in Seoul prize for the best stand design at the exhibition BITE 2019 in Beijing award for the best creative presentation of tourist potential of Best Creative Award, at the International Travel Expo in Hong Kong prize people’s choice award. In October, Moscow participated at the international tourism fair ITB Asia in Singapore.

Moscow as a brand: the Russian capital attracts tourists

Moscow is among 20 most visited cities in Europe, and the flow of tourists in eight years has almost doubled. In the next six years the capital can get into the top ten. To do this, Moscow has everything you need: developed infrastructure, high-quality hotel service and an extensive network of public transport.

According to sociological survey data which leads the Committee for tourism, in the first six months of 2019, the most frequent guests of the capital were travellers under the age of 34 years. And as stated in the research of international consulting company Deliotte 2019, Millennials — even the most active visitors. They travel to the capital for the impressions: they are attracted by the numerous festivals, sporting events and cultural events.
