Two men have been arrested after allegedly running from the scene of a crash late last night.
About 11.10pm, Wednesday 6 November, patrols were called to the intersection of Military and Bower Roads, Semaphore South after reports of a crash.
On arrival police located a Ford Ranger crashed into business and the occupants had appeared to have fled the scene.
Two members of the public who heard the crash went to investigate and found two men in Board Street. The two men demanded to be driven from the area but the members of the public drove them back to the scene of the crash to the waiting patrol. It will be alleged one of the men punched one of the members of the public.
Both men were arrested, the alleged driver a 30-year-old man from Hillbank was charged with failing to stop at a crash scene, driving under the influence, driving without due care, failing to truly answer, hinder police, unlawful threats and failing to submit to a breath analysis. He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 20 December.
The passenger a 24-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with aggravated assault, resist arrest, refuse name and address and disorderly behavior. He didn’t apply for bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
