The bus will feature the message “It’s Time for Real Change”.
Leader of the Labour party, Jeremy Corbyn and Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell will be at Liverpool’s North Docks to reveal the campaign bus.
Jeremy Corbyn will be taking the first journey to Rossendale and Darwen for a member mobilisation event before moving onto Manchester to speak at a big barnstorming rally.
The bus will stop at dozens of marginal constituencies up and down the country over the next five weeks of the campaign.
Leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, said:
“This campaign bus will take the message of real change to every corner of the UK.
“Labour will deliver the real change Britain needs, so that no one is held back and no community left behind.
“This election is a once-in-a-generation chance to transform our country and take on the vested interests holding people back.
“The future is ours to make. It’s time for real change – for the many, not the few.”
Notes to Editors
- Labour recognises that tackling the climate emergency is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today, and to this end The Labour Party will pay a fee towards compensating for the carbon emissions throughout the election campaign.
- The payments we make to Natural Capital Partners from the carbon emission fee will help to fund projects for UK forest creation which will not only result in carbon emission reductions as the trees grow, but can also contribute to improved land management, flood prevention and the provision of more green spaces for communities. UK Forest Creation is managed in line with the Woodland Carbon Code to deliver the assurance that sites will be sustainably managed and deliver measurable carbon reductions.
