Today the Tula Suvorov military school (HLS) marked the 75th anniversary since the formation. It is unique in its kind educational institution formed in the years of the great Patriotic war and was intended to educate the young generation of defenders of Fatherland.
The school held celebrations, which were attended by representatives of the command of the airborne troops (VDV), the Tula region administration, public and veteran organizations, graduates of different years, schoolchildren and yunarmeytsy city.
“Today was opened the Alley of graduates, which became a symbol of the continuity of tradition between the first Tula IED, established in 1944, and restored in 2016. On the Avenue planted 50 chestnuts. Suvorov, Nakhimov naval school, cadet corps is a special kind of educational institutions where a spirit of patriotism and understanding of military duty and military brotherhood”, — said at the ceremonial meeting head of the College Colonel (retired) Dmitry Sakeev.
In a solemn ceremony in the territory of the educational institution was opened alley with the names and the names of the graduates of the Tula IED. 18 steles placed signs in the form of open books in which were written the names of nearly 900 graduates of the school, 1944-1960.
College students show excellent results in national testing works on the Russian language, mathematics and history, being regular participants of various competitions and contests.
Tula IED was formed on the basis of the decision of the State Defense Committee of July 4, 1944, the Grand opening took place on 7 November. The school was disbanded in 1960, over 16 years of work its graduates are more than 900 people.
The school is administered by the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation, training there are about 400 pupils. Training at the VCA is based on a classical curriculum, but with profound study of history, military science, practical training in military-applied sports.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the College, a member of the Federation Council of the Tula region Dmitry Saveliev gave the leadership of the Tula IED a copy of the banner of the institution, 1944.
