The working meeting was held in Belgrade (Republic of Serbia). It was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nebojsa Stefanovic, Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Serbia Alexander Botan-Kharchenko and the delegation of EMERCOM of Russia headed by the Director of the international Department Vladimir Solovyov.

During the meeting, formally presented to the appointed co-Directors of the Russian-Serbian humanitarian center (RSHC) Andrew Mamchenkov from the Russian side and Bojan Kostic – Serbian.

N. Stefanovic underlined the importance of the agreements to date, the level of cooperation in the field of civil defense and emergencies among States. Also noted the importance of functioning RSGC and interaction with the Sector for emergency situations of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Serbia in the fight against floods, wildfires throughout the country.

In addition, the meeting participants discussed the development of RSGC as a training centre for additional training and improvement of skills of fire and rescue units.
