Parks Canada and the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada will participate in a plaque unveiling ceremony commemorating the national historic significance of the Park House.

The Park House is considered to be one of the oldest houses in Southwestern Ontario and is a rare example of a once-common colonial building type found in settlements and fur-trading posts throughout colonial North America. Owned for many years by the Park family, it is thought to have been floated down the Detroit River to Upper Canada by Loyalists after Britain ceded Detroit in 1796.
