November 8 psychologists of the center of emergency psychological aid EMERCOM of Russia together with the members of the student psychological voluntary detachment held a training session on first aid and psychological support for employees of international information Agency “Russia today”.

Meeting of psychologists of the Ministry of emergency situations by staff of the international information Agency “Russia today” have become traditional, for the fourth consecutive year the specialists of the Center carried out master-class for journalists whose professional activity might be connected with great nervous, emotional, physical strain and extraordinary situations.

This year the workshop focused on the basic principles of safe behavior, psychologists have dismantled the basic algorithm of first aid and psychological support in extreme situations.

“Algorithm of safe behavior in extreme situations is easy to remember, but, with this knowledge, you can save the life of yourself and help others,” – said the leader of the master class, psychologist research Department of psychological training and psychological counseling center of emergency psychological aid EMERCOM of Russia Christina Emelyanov.

After the theoretical part, the journalists had the opportunity to consolidate the knowledge in practice.

In the end, the psychologists talked about methods of self-regulation, through which you can help yourself to calm down and overcome excessive anxiety.

“We hope that this event was for you interesting, hope you will not need what they learned today. But if, suddenly, you find yourself in extreme situations, we wish you time to remember all our recommendations and apply them to get out of such situations with minimum losses,” said Christina Emelyanov.

The staff of the international information Agency “Russia today” with great interest and actively participated in the master class. Reporters noted the usefulness and informativeness of the acquired knowledge, thanked the psychologists and volunteers for carrying out the lesson and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation in the future.

In the master-class was attended by 229 journalists, including representatives of the Union of Russian journalists and TV channel “360°”.
