In Tajikistan, Russian soldiers of the 201st military base took part in the opening of the photo exhibition “Afghanistan – an international mission”.

It presents photographs documenting social objects constructed by builders in Afghanistan, the work of Soviet doctors in the remote villages, demining sappers fields and irrigation ditches.

Photo gallery located within the walls of the Russian-Tajik Slavic University. Only during the days the exhibition was visited by over 1000 people.

Stationed in Tajikistan, the 201st military base — the largest military facility of Russia abroad. Is located in two cities — Dushanbe and Bokhtar. According to the signed in October 2012 agreement, the connection will remain in Tajikistan until 2042.
