Who does this notice affect?
The following information is relevant to Biosecurity Industry Participants (BIPs) and accredited persons operating under the class 19.2 Automatic Entry Processing for Commodities (AEPCOMM) approved arrangement (AA).
In August 2019 the scope of the class 19.2 AEPCOMM AA was expanded to include additional commodities and commodity groups under the arrangement. To assist AEPCOMM accredited persons in understanding the changes brought by the expansion, the department conducted a mandatory Continued Biosecurity Competency (CBC) session through a live webinar.
AEPCOMM accredited persons are required to complete CBC activity 19-20/02 (including assessment) by 1 December 2019.
AEPCOMM accredited persons who do not complete the activity by 1 December 2019 will have their AEPCOMM accreditation suspended.
To complete the CBC activity 19-20/02 AEPCOMM accredited persons must view the webinar and complete the assessment.
A recording of CBC Activity 19-20/02 (AEPCOMM Expansion 2019) is available on the department’s Training and accreditation web page. Please contact your industry organisation for completion of the assessment.
Please contact AEP support if you have any questions.
