At the site Guard of the southern military district (YUVO) in Chechnya with military engineer units in the field output held special tactical exercises (TSU) for the installation of minefields in the front line of the enemy.

Soldiers conducted engineering reconnaissance in the area of installation of minefields along the prospective route of the column of armored vehicles of the imaginary enemy.

In addition, the specialists of the engineering troops set up a smokescreen to disguise the work tracked minelayers installation anti-tank mines.

In addition, the soldiers performed tasks to engage defence to prevent further advancement of the remaining equipment and manpower of the “enemy”, which overcame a minefield.

In the conduct of engineer reconnaissance and mine clearing areas the engineers used a combined set of mine, the ISI-2 “Falcon” and a portable induction mine detector IMP-2, which are in service with demining units.

In a planned combat training event involved more than 150 soldiers and involved about 20 units of military and special equipment.
