JACKSON COUNTY –MoDOT Kansas City will be doing pavement work along southbound I-435 beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13. After Friday morning rush hour beginning at 9 a.m. until approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, crews will reduce southbound I-435 to ONE LANE between U.S. 40 Highway and Stadium Dr. This work may have impacts to Friday evening rush hour traffic and to those attending the Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 15. Motorists and fans are encouraged to use the suggested game day detours. All work is weather permitting.
This is all part of the I-435 and I-70 construction project and it will have significant impacts on traffic for two full construction seasons.
