In its policy documents, the new Commission has announced its intention to further strengthen Directive 2004/37/EC on the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens or mutagens at work.

In the last two years, three proposals to render legislation on exposure to harmful substances in the workplace more stringent have been approved. However, there is not yet a centralised, publicly accessible overview of the complete list of substances and limit values that figure on the amended list.

Does the Commission have a clear, centralised and publicly available list of all harmful substances and their limit values?

Exposure to which harmful substances in the workplace does the Commission intend to make a priority for the introduction of more stringent legislation, and when does it plan to submit a proposal?
