They visited more than 24 thousand Muscovites older.
More than 700 events organized for the participants the project “Moscow longevity” during Christmas and new year holidays in all districts of the capital. 1 to 9 January, the elderly age attended holiday concerts, masquerades, musical evenings, creative and sports master classes, quizzes, sports tournaments and much more.
The festive event was attended by 24 388 people.
The project “Moscow longevity” kicked off in the capital on March 1, 2018. For older Muscovites opened circles and sections. In 2019, the number of project participants attending the training, has exceeded 200 thousand people, and the number of places for entries increased from 135 to 1200.
To join the project in the social service centres, offices of public services “My documents”, clinics and public institutions, where classes are held. Besides, now members of the “Moscow longevity” can be not only women over 55 and men over 60 years, but also the Muscovites who receive early insurance old-age pension or superannuation (irrespective of age).
In the summer of 2019 the participants of the project set eight world records. Charging with gymnastic sticks, wedding flash mob dance veil, marathon, Zumba, charging boxes, painting on ceramic plates, chasing the ball, anthem of Moscow and occupation of Nordic walking were the most massive in the world.
And in December the project “Moscow longevity” won the award “Best regional practice” in the category “role model”.
