MESSAGE TO THE MEDIA
15-16 January, acting Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov paid an official visit to Uzbekistan.
During his stay in Tashkent, Lavrov was received by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan sh. M. Mirzieev. Held extensive talks with Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Kh. Kamilov.
Special attention is paid to the preparation of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev sh. M. in Moscow in 2020 and carried out by the parties working on future agreements on its results.
The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral relations and prospects of strengthening Russian-Uzbek relations. The trust held an exchange of views on the most important topics of international and regional agendas. Similar positions of the considered problem in the framework of the CIS, SCO, UN and OSCE, as well as the prospects of integration cooperation in the Eurasian space.
Acting Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, addressed the faculty and students of Tashkent branch of MGIMO (University) of the MFA of Russia, open 9 December 2019.
S. V. Lavrov and A. Kh. Kamilov signed a Program of cooperation between the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020-2021 years.
