To participate in the activities of the Assembly will be able to not only medical professionals, but everyone.

XVIII Assembly “Healthy Moscow” started working at ENEA. The largest forum in the city’s healthcare runs until January 19.

Sergei Sobyanin visited the Central exhibition, where models of healthcare institutions of Moscow, who are preparing to receive its first patients, and also clinics, which will be overhauled at the new Moscow standard. All buildings will meet the world level of equipment and comfort — for both patients and doctors.

The mayor also took part in the plenary session “Health of large cities: big challenges and big opportunities” in which foreign and domestic experts discussed global trends in the health care system, and talked about innovations in Metropolitan medicine and shared best practices.

The mayor spoke about the development of a new global trend for urban health. It lies in the fact that any changes in city life evaluated through the prism of human health. So, thanks to the improvement of urban spaces through the capital’s streets began to walk two to four times more people, and so they began to lead a more active lifestyle that will positively affect health.

“Related to this has the development of transport. First, it’s a completely different ecology of the city. When two thirds of the population travel on public transport, not cars, imagine how reduced emissions from private vehicles in a city”, — said Sergey Sobyanin.

Special attention in his speech the Mayor gave the program on major repairs of polyclinics. Most of the buildings of polyclinics in the capital city built more than 50 years ago and does not meet modern requirements. Utilities are worn and require replacement, and the condition of the grid does not allow for heavy-duty medical equipment. These buildings are waiting for a comprehensive modernization. It is planned to repair the buildings of the 135 clinics. In the first 50 renovation will begin this year.

“Outpatient clinics have always been, you know, a kind of stepson. All the money, all the resources in the first place was heading to the hospital. Worldwide is the opposite. The most important link is ambulatory. All that can be done on an outpatient basis, you need to make it. Two-thirds of everything that is happening in health care, should occur there. Today we have, unfortunately, two-thirds occur in hospitals. This indicates a low clinical examination, prevention, treatment in day hospitals and so on. So still care we definitely have to develop. And including stationary, when there will be serious history, of course, too,” said the Mayor.

In 2019, has developed a new the Moscow standard clinics. Its implementation will improve the quality of medical services and make medical care more affordable. Active introduction of modern equipment and technology already enables unique operations.

One of the most important indicators of the health of the population, according to the Mayor of Moscow, is life expectancy.

“An indicator which characterizes everything: healthy lifestyle and environment, and health”, — said Sergey Sobyanin.

“The number of new infections is proportional to the number of elderly people. In Moscow today, people older than 80 years have about half a million, can you imagine the numbers? A few years there will be about a million. Largely due to our efforts and increasing life expectancy,” — said Sergey Sobyanin.

According to Stefan Larsson, senior partner and managing Director BGG, after the analysis of the health systems 20 largest cities in the world, it became clear that the best results were achieved by those who pays great attention to the diagnosis of various diseases in the early stages.

“We reviewed the situation in Moscow, five trends have found a number of areas where changes occur. We’ve seen vaccination programmes, early diagnosis, a large number of different actions that have been taken and which are already creating a future in and look very promising”, — he said.
