Pupils and students showed their skills in the preparation of Christmas dishes and table decorations.
In the historical Park “Russia — my story” at ENEA on 17 January took place the XII international youth food festival “Revives the tradition. Christmas.” This year the event was held at two sites, gastronomy and tourism.
Gastronomy on site competed with 25 teams of College students in the sphere of services of of Moscow, Moscow suburbs, regions of Russia, Bulgaria, and eight school teams and 41 individual participant. They showed their skills in the preparation of Christmas dishes, table decorations, and in the knowledge of traditions.

On the tourist site held a competition for the best presentation “Christmas traditions and customs in the regions of Russia” among students who learn in the direction of “Specialist in tourism”.
Participants were judged by a professional jury, which included representatives of the culinary Association and the National Guild of chefs, famous chefs and professional bakers, specialists of the Institute of the baking industry of the Russian Guild of bakers and confectioners. Presentation “Christmas traditions and customs in the regions of Russia” it was estimated by the specialists of the tourism industry.
Winners in the nomination “Dough” (made of gingerbread dough: Christmas gingerbread cookies with filling) were students from Metropolitan schools № 2072, 1852, and 1015.
In the nomination “Service” (Christmas table decoration) were: Sunday school of the Church of St. Nicholas (Sofia, Bulgaria), school № 1015 and school № 1454 “Timiryazevskaya”.
Grand Prix won the school № 2101.
The winners of the contest on the best presentation “Christmas traditions and customs in the regions of Russia” were students of the Ivanovo College of service. In the overall standings, the best were the students of Romanov’s College of hospitality industry (Republic of Crimea), Maikop state technological University of agricultural and industrial College.
In addition to chefs, the festival was attended by decorators premises and phytodesigners from College named after S. P. Korolev, photographers from Ostankino College of modern management, film and television, students of the police College.
At the close of the festival were Russian, Serbian and Bulgarian folk groups, as well as a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners. In addition, the festival presents a collaborative art project of the Museum “Sadovoe Koltso” and the National Union of folk arts and crafts on the theme “culture of the Russian tea party”.
The organizers of the festival were Danilov stauropegial monastery and the Autonomous nonprofit organization “Center of revival of traditions” with the support of the Department of national policy and interregional relations.
