Metropolitan students unfurled a huge image of the record book in the University square in front of the main building of Moscow state University named after M. V. Lomonosov.

The participants collected the image of the individual plates. The size of the grade book was 12.5 to 40 meters, and covers an area of 500 square meters.

The event was held in the framework of the Day of Russian students in Moscow the holiday is celebrated on 25 and 26 January. The flash mob was organized on the initiative of the student associations of Moscow. In flashmob was attended by students of 10 universities of the capital: Moscow state University named after M. V. Lomonosov, Russian technological University, Russian state University named after A. N. Kosygina, Moscow humanitarian University and others.

Russian students ‘ day is traditionally celebrated on 25 January. The history of the holiday began in 1755, when Empress Elizabeth signed a decree establishing Moscow University, Russia’s largest institutions of higher education. Also on this day revere the early Christian Martyr Tatiana of Rome, patroness of students and MSU named after M. V. Lomonosov. Hence the second name of this date — the day of St. Tatiana. In 2005, by presidential decree, the holiday became official.
