The Government today approved $2.286 million in grants for two relief agencies to help typhoon victims in the Philippines.

The Adventist Development & Relief Agency China (Hong Kong) has been allocated $0.764 million and Oxfam Hong Kong $1.522 million

The grants will be used to provide household and hygiene items, as well as shelter materials for around 24,500 victims.

To ensure the money is properly used, both agencies must submit evaluation reports and audited accounts after relief projects are completed.
