The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Brussels on Monday, 17 February, to participate in a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will first attend an informal working breakfast, with the participation of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, during which there will be a discussion of Albania’s accession perspective. The Minister will then attend the Donors Conference for Albania following the disastrous earthquake in November.
In the Foreign Affairs Council, the Foreign Ministers’ talks will focus on the situation in the Middle East, the Sahel, Venezuela and the Western Balkans. The Council will also focus on the latest developments in Libya and discuss EU-India and EU-African Union relations.
On the margins of the Council, Nikos Dendias will meet with his counterpart from Estonia, which is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2020-2021.
