Local Action Groups (LAGs) have played a major role in local development. A European network of rural LAGs exists to support local development activities and help in the transfer of best practices and development of cross-border projects.
It has emerged from meetings with LAGs from all over the EU that there is strong support for creating a European network of LAGs for urban areas. Is the Commission able to launch a pilot project for creating and operating a European network of LAGs for the urban environment?
