The Commission is undertaking a variety of measures aimed at reducing the youth unemployment level. Nonetheless, the youth unemployment level remains very high. According to data from Eurostat, the 2018 youth unemployment rate for the EU as a whole was as high as 15.2%, and in some countries it even exceeded 30%.

Helping young people to enter and stay in the labour market encourages economic growth and improves living standards.

Has the Commission established a youth unemployment action plan with a view to tackling this problem? If so, what actions and measures does it plan to adopt to do so?
