Since April 29, 514 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the Netherlands to 39,316. Among them are 10,769 people who are or were admitted to hospital.

Hospital admissions for 84 patients were reported today (current or previous). 84 deaths were reported. Not all of the reported hospital admissions or deaths occurred within the last 24 hours. Some patients are reported later. For this reason, the figures are often supplemented with data from previous days.

39,316 confirmed COVID-19 patients have been reported to RIVM and the Environment so far.

The figures for the last few days are in line with the impression that the measures are working. The number of new hospital admissions reported per day is still decreasing. The same applies to the number of reported deaths.

RIVM has investigated how many of the reported COVID-19 patients were healthcare workers. For more information see COVID-19 and healthcare workers.
