HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, MoDOT crews have scheduled bridge maintenance and culvert replacement operations which will temporarily impact traffic. Please see the following information for locations and details.

Pike County Route NN – May 7, the road will be closed from 1,500 feet south of CR 251 to 2,500 feet north of CR 270 in Pike County between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for a culvert replacement.

Pike County U.S. 61 Northbound – May 11-12, the road will be reduced to one lane one mile before the bridge over Gailey Branch to one quarter mile after the bridge between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. There will be an eleven feet width restriction in place while work is being completed.

Motorists will need to use caution when traveling through the work zone during these times. This work is weather dependent and could be rescheduled or delayed. Spring is here and highway work zones are beginning to pop up in Missouri.  Barrel Bob, MoDOT’s official work zone spokesbarrel, says as you approach a work zone, please don’t drive distracted.  Always buckle up and put your phone down for your safety and the safety of highway workers.  All work zones are online at www.modot.org, and you can receive the latest news about road work in your area by signing up for e-updates.
