Small missile ships of project 21631, development of JSC “Zelenodolsk design Bureau”, are multipurpose ships. They are equipped with the most modern samples of artillery, missile, anti-sabotage, anti-aircraft and electronic weapons.
JSC “Zelenodolsk plant named after A. M. Gorky”, part of JSC “Shipbuilding company “AK bars” started the construction of ships of this project in 2010. Currently eight ships of this project – head “Grad Sviyazhsk” and the serial “Uglich”, “Velikiy Ustyug”, “Green Vale”, “Serpukhov”, “Vishny Volochek”, “Orekhovo-Zuevo” and “Ingushetia” – already serve in the Russian Navy, the construction of three units of the project “Grad”, “Naro-Fominsk” and “Stavropol”. The 9th ship of the series – MRK “grayvoron” is being tested.
It should be noted that small missile ships of project 21631 – this is the largest series in the modern naval fleet. Ships of the project 21631 previously not one has proved its efficiency during the operations as part of the Navy, in carrying out strikes on terrorist targets in the Syrian Arab Republic.
