The amendment to Article 37 of the Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation”, initiated by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to provide free hot meals for children studying in secondary educational institutions, is fully implemented in educational institutions located at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense.

The Department of Operational Maintenance and Provision of Utilities for Military Units and Organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Central Housing and Utilities Administration” of the Ministry of Defense of Russia and the 12th Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation carried out repairs of canteens in 12 schools where children of military personnel and civilians gain knowledge. personnel of military units located on the territory of the Russian Federation and military bases of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan.

When carrying out the repair of canteens of educational institutions, modern standards and norms adopted in educational institutions were used, including for lighting, ventilation and heating systems.

For a comfortable stay of students, 60 heating radiators, about 40 window and door blocks, about 230 units of internal energy-saving equipment were replaced and installed
and electrical cables, as well as over 550 plumbing units and 600 meters of pipes. Repaired and replaced 200 sq. m roof, over 920 sq. m of flooring, more than 42.5 tons of finishing materials were used to repair walls, ceilings and entrance groups.

The Russian Ministry of Defense continues to work to create comfortable living conditions for servicemen and their families in military camps, to modernize heat generating facilities and heating networks, to repair housing and barracks and housing funds, to equip adjoining territories, to install playgrounds
and bicycle parking.
