Decree of December 29, 2020 No. 2333

Citizens who have purchased tours or booked hotels under the tourist cashback program will be able to postpone their trip until the end of 2021. Such a rule will apply in the event that a high alert or emergency situation is declared on the territory of the planned recreation area. The decree on this was signed by the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The exact date of the transfer must be determined by an additional agreement between the tourist and the legal entity that formed the tourist service. The trip on the new date must end no later than December 31, 2021.

The rules also apply to citizens who have purchased tours under the cashback program, but a high alert or emergency situation has been declared in their region of permanent residence.

The decision is due to the fact that due to the introduction of new restrictive measures in the regions, many tourists began to turn to tour operators and hotel owners with a request to postpone their trip to a later date. Citizens feared a possible travel ban and cancellation of vouchers. Now these issues have been settled at the Government level.

Partial money back program for buying Russian tours started in August 2020… During this time, citizens were able to purchase tours for 6.5 billion rubles. The total cashback amount was 1.2 billion rubles. All trips under the program must end no later than January 10, 2021, if they are not rescheduled to a later date.

The signed document changes Government Decree of August 10, 2020 No. 1200.
