A commemorative star dedicated to the People’s Artist of the USSR Nina Sazonova was laid in the foyer of the Army Theater.
The ceremonial event for laying a star in memory of the actress began with a welcoming speech by the director of the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army Ivan Chursin, who spoke about the childhood of the actress and the beginning of her career.
Colleagues on the stage, People’s Artist of the USSR Lyudmila Chursina, People’s Artist of the RSFSR Alina Pokrovskaya and People’s Artist of Russia Olga Bogdanova, shared their memories of Nina Afanasyevna Sazonova, who devoted her whole life to the Army Theater.
Honored Artist of Russia Lyudmila Tatarova-Dzhigurda sang the song “I’m Standing at a Half-Station” from the movie “Day by Day”, which is known to the audience performed by Nina Sazonova.
The memorable star itself, which can now be seen in the foyer of the Army Theater, was presented to the assembled guests by People’s Artist of the RSFSR Alina Pokrovskaya and People’s Artist of Russia Olga Bogdanova.
