Servicemen of the Center for Combat Training and Retraining of Flight Personnel of the Naval Aviation of the Navy took part
in commemorative events dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Yeisk from the Nazi invaders, which traditionally took place on the Aviator Square.
The solemn events began with the opening of the rally, in which the head of the Center for Combat Training and Retraining of Flight Personnel of the Naval Aviation of the Navy, Colonel Sergei Bodnaruk, Deputy Head of the Yeisk District Yuri Kovrov, commanders of military units, pupils of military-patriotic clubs, as well as representatives of public organizations of the Yeisk District … After the rally, flowers were laid at the Aviators monument.
On Revolution Square, near the Eternal Flame, a commemorative event was also held with the laying of flowers and a threefold volley from cannons.
Every year, servicemen and residents of the Yeisk region take part in solemn events, remember the feat of their predecessors and sacredly honor the memory of the events of those distant years.
Yeisk was liberated from the fascist invaders on February 5, 1943. On this day, the advanced reconnaissance detachment of the 58th Army of the North Caucasian Front and a reinforced battalion of the 372th rifle regiment of the 417th rifle division entered the city and liberated Yeisk already at 16:30.
