Today, the nuclear-powered submarine cruiser Severodvinsk of the Northern Fleet has successfully fired a Kalibr cruise missile at a target located on the Chizha battlefield in the Arkhangelsk region. The shooting took place as part of a routine combat training program for a nuclear submarine.

The missile firing of the Severodvinsk ASIC was tested in a normal mode from a submerged position in one of the Northern Fleet’s combat training ranges in the Barents Sea.

The Kalibr cruise missile, having covered a distance of several hundred kilometers, accurately hit the designated target at the range.

During the execution of the firing, the crew of the submarine demonstrated high professionalism and naval skills.

AICR “Severodvinsk” is the lead ship of project 885 “Ash”, which is in service with the nuclear submarine formation of the submarine forces of the Northern Fleet. He is the first regular carrier of the Kalibr cruise missiles in the Northern Fleet and has performed several combat services.
