In Kamchatka, servicemen of the Marine Corps of the Troops and Forces in the North-East of Russia have performed over 500 training parachute jumps since the beginning of the year.

Jumps were carried out with weapons in special equipment, including hand grenade launchers and machine guns with landing on unequipped sites. Upon completion of the landing, the Marines practiced actions to capture and hold the bridgehead to ensure the landing of the main units of the Marine Corps formation.

Parachute jumps were preceded by thorough ground preparation. The servicemen studied the parachute system, methods of its packing, fitting equipment and fastening weapons, and with the help of special simulators they worked out the elements of exiting the aircraft, landing and maneuvering in the air.

Parachute jumps were performed from military transport aircraft An-12, An-26 and Mi-8 helicopters from heights of 900 to 3000 meters using the D-10 and Arbalet parachute systems.
