Every year on February 8, on the Day of Russian Science, the All-Russian Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia holds bright scientific events for its employees, cadets and students. 2021 – the Year of Science and Technology, was no exception – during the week at the institute, employees of the scientific center, together with the chairman of the scientific society of cadets and students, conducted an online quiz “History of Science in Persons” with students of all courses and faculties.
Within the framework of the meetings, the topics of the history of the holiday, the life and work of great scientists were touched upon, and the students were also told about the indisputable contribution of scientists-penitentiaries to the development of the penal system. In addition, as part of the celebration of the Day of Russian Science, an exhibition of scientific works of the faculty of the institute, published in 2020, was organized.
And, finally, on Monday, February 8, a solemn event dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Russian Science, which was opened by the head of the institute Vasily Ponkratov, took place at the All-Russian Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. He thanked all employees of the institute, whose life is connected with research activities, spoke about their achievements in scientific activity, and expressed confidence that 2021 will also be full of significant scientific events and achievements that will fit into the history of the Vladimir Law Institute of the Federal Enforcement Service punishments.
The ceremony was attended by guests of honor: Chairman of the Control Committee of the Vladimir Region Administration Sergei Poluzin, Chairman of the Social Policy Committee of the Vladimir Region Administration Elena Yanina, Deputy Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Vladimir Region Alexey Chudin, Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child in the Vladimir Region Gennady Prokhorichev, Head of the Department of the Ministry Justice of the Russian Federation in the Vladimir Region Lyudmila Prokhorova, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Work of VlSU Alexander Fedin, Director of the Vladimir branch of RANEPA Vyacheslav Kartukhin and many others.
The guests of honor congratulated the university staff and presented awards to the employees who achieved the highest results in research activities. During the event, the results of the competition “The best indicators in research activities of the All-Russian Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in 2020” were announced, gratitude for active participation in the scientific life of the Institute, high rates of publication activity were announced.
On this solemn day, for the implementation of joint scientific and theoretical projects, as well as for the organization and coordinated conduct of various scientifically significant events, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the scientific society of cadets and students of the Vladimir Law Institute of the Federal Penitentiary Service and the student scientific society of the Mikhail Law Institute Mikhailovich Speransky VlSU.
The film “On the achievements in research activities of the teaching staff and students of the All-Russian Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in 2020”, which was presented to the participants of the event, aroused great interest among the guests and employees of the Institute.
