In St. Petersburg, the first stage of the Spartakiad program of the Navy has been completed, within the framework of which the winter officer triathlon championship was held.
More than 100 athletes representing teams of fleets, as well as military units and organizations directly subordinate to the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, took part in the competition, which took place over three days at sports facilities in St. Petersburg.
The servicemen competed in three age groups – up to 30 years old, from 30 to 40 years old, over 40 years old, and showed their sports professionalism in such disciplines as shooting from regular weapons (PM-1, PM-2, PM-3), swimming (100 m, 200 m, 300 m) and cross-country skiing (5 and 10 km).
According to the results of 3 days of competition, the winners in the team competition were the athletes of the Northern Fleet, the second place was taken by the team of the Military Educational and Scientific Center of the Navy “Naval Academy”, the third place was taken by the team of the Baltic Fleet.
In the individual championship at the end of the tournament in three age groups, the winners were: Lieutenant Vorontsov E.A. (Baltic Fleet, servicemen under 30), captain A.N. Trubnikov (Baltic Fleet, servicemen from 30 to 40 years old) and guard Major Eremin A.N. (Northern Fleet, servicemen over 40).
As part of the past championship in winter officer triathlon, the servicemen of the Navy fulfilled the standards of sports ranks and categories, namely: Master of Sports of Russia – 14 servicemen, candidate for Master of Sports of Russia – 3 military personnel, as well as 25 mass sports categories.
In the period from 05 to 15 March, St. Petersburg will host the following types of sports competitions of the Navy in military-applied swimming, army hand-to-hand combat, kettlebell lifting and army kettlebell jerk.
