Activists of student groups met with schoolchildren, held concerts and master classes, put in order monuments and memorials and helped veterans.

“Snowborne Troopers of the RSO” is a traditional youth volunteer action, which has been taking place in Moscow for the fifth year already. This year, over 200 volunteers – activists of student groups have joined it. They performed more than 250 good deeds in the districts of Moscow, as well as in the settlements of the Moscow, Ivanovo, Tula and Smolensk regions.

The route of the protesters included 11 districts and 30 settlements. During the action, representatives of student teams held vocational guidance meetings with schoolchildren and told them about a healthy lifestyle. For young children, thematic workshops and interactive sessions were organized. In addition, concerts and friendly sports matches were organized for the children.

The participants of the action paid special attention to the improvement of socially significant objects – they put in order the territories near the houses of culture and creativity, boarding schools, in kindergartens, schools and hospitals, near monuments, war memorials and burials.

This year, due to the epidemic situation, the action program was adjusted so as to reduce direct contacts with a large number of residents. Instead of mass events, the protesters directed their efforts to individual volunteer assistance to the older generation. Volunteers bought and delivered food, medicine and basic necessities. The students also helped during the vaccination against coronavirus infection and went as volunteers to the shelter for homeless animals.

“The all-Russian action“ Snow landing ”for student brigades in Moscow has become not only a way to implement volunteer activities, but also acted as a unique platform for the exchange of experience between the teams. This is a great opportunity for interaction between different educational organizations, which helps to strengthen our organization as a whole. For me, this action is associated with warmth, I myself have been taking part in it for more than a year and I myself know how this week of good deeds can change life for the better, ”noted Yulia Drozhzhina, head of the Moscow regional branch of the all-Russian public organization Russian student teams “.

Among the student brigades of Moscow (MosRSO) there are construction, pedagogical, service, conductor groups and others. Today MosRSO unites 60 educational organizations, 15 supporting educational organizations and 60 teams. Anyone can become a member of the student squad, for this it is enough to write a message on the page of the capital branch of the RSO in social network.
