Work will begin in March.
A three-storey house in the Central Administrative District, built in 1917, is awaiting a major overhaul. The works will start in March, and now the preparatory stage is nearing completion. Initially, the building was residential, but then it was used to house various institutions.
“For more than 100 years of operation, the structural elements and engineering systems of the building have become unusable. During the examination, it turned out that there are cracks on the walls, the foundation has subsided, there are traces of leaks, and the wooden floors are covered with mold. In addition, such overlapping creates an additional risk of rapid spread of fires, ”the press service said. Overhaul Department…
Specialists will replace the old floors with reinforced concrete, repair the building facade (more than 793 square meters) and treat it with special compounds against mold and mildew. Additional hydrophobization will protect it from moisture and frost. The walls will be cleared of dirt and paint, primed and painted – the building will turn light green.
“To give the structure strength, the brickwork of the foundation and its base will be injected. The length of the work zone will be about 79 meters. This method prevents further destruction of the foundation and prolongs the life of the building. A special compound is pumped under high pressure into specially made holes through thin pipes – injectors. Then it solidifies inside, providing a reinforcing effect and enhancing the insulating properties of the wall, ”the department added.
The old pitched roof (more than 500 square meters) will also be put in order: the rotten rafter system and the metal roofing will be replaced. In the attic, the floor will be laid with a heater made of non-combustible and safe mineral wool based on basalt, and special air vents will be made. This technology saves heat, and also prevents the formation of icicles.
The specialists will update and replace the internal engineering systems, including power supply, heating, cold and hot water supply, sewerage, and ventilation and air conditioning. Security and automatic fire alarm systems, warning and evacuation control systems will be installed. A structured cable network and a CCTV system will appear.
More than 60 doors and almost 70 window blocks will be replaced in the premises, finishing works will be performed. Laminate will be laid on the floor in offices, and ceramic tiles in the corridors, stairs and toilets. The area of the tiled covering is over 1000 square meters. For visitors with limited mobility, convenient handrails and ramps will be installed.
The territory adjacent to the building will be landscaped: more than 220 square meters of asphalt will be replaced, a lawn will be laid out and 15 small architectural forms – benches and ballot boxes – will be installed. For lighting, 60 meters of cable will be laid underground, and then 16 landscape lamps will be installed.
The work is scheduled to be completed in August next year. After the renovation, it is planned to place the office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights under the President of Russia in the building.
“The building will be redeveloped. The functional use of space will improve the working conditions of employees and the reception of visitors. In addition, there will be special places for receiving documents, premises for storing archives, as well as an electrical control room, server room and utility rooms for various purposes, ”the department’s press service said.
Now the city has a program for the overhaul of apartment buildings; more than eight thousand buildings… About 4.5 thousand more houses are next in line. On interactive map you can see exactly where the repairs will start in the near future.
