The competition was attended by 23 students of the branch of 5-7 grades. The winners and prize-winners of the championship, namely Alexander Bobrovsky, Maxim Vorobets, Fedor Bologov and Evgeny Kalganov, will take part in the 3rd all-army online chess championship, which will be held among the pre-university educational organizations of the Ministry of Defense. Roman Borisov and Valentin Abramov, who took 5th and 6th places, will take part in the all-army tournament as reserve players.

As the deputy head of the Nakhimov Naval School in Kaliningrad, Dmitry Balakin, noted, “chess competitions are always popular among students of the school. Chess lessons develop in future sailors, first of all, logical thinking, form responsibility for their own decisions and independence in making it, and also develop the ability to manage their emotions. “
