The award ceremony took place in Pskov at a meeting between the Chief of the Russian MIA Administration for the Pskov Region, Major General of Police Alexei Ovsyannikov, with volunteers, among them the cadets of the Pskov branch of the Academy Maxim Volkov and Victoria Efimova.

It should be noted that the Pskov police, in cooperation with the regional administration, are implementing the “Believe in yourself” project, which involved 124 minors aged 9 to 16 years from 14 municipalities of the Pskov region.

Cadets of the Pskov branch of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Maxim Volkov and Victoria Efimova, along with other volunteers, take an active part in specialized shifts, being mentors for teenagers. Thanks to psychological trainings, team and individual competitions, master classes, hobby groups, military-patriotic and creative actions, minors get the opportunity to realize themselves, reveal their creative potential, increase the level of social and communication skills and personal self-development. Volunteers continue to communicate with the children after the end of the shift.

In addition, Maxim Volkov and Victoria Efimova, as part of a cyber squad created in cooperation with the police, are engaged in equally important work on monitoring the Internet and identifying illegal content that has a detrimental effect on the adolescent environment. The links they found to pages, groups and public pages of a destructive nature in order to prevent delinquency in adolescents are transferred to the department for organizing the protection of public order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Pskov region.

– We are connected with one main goal – to bring up a worthy rising generation and provide support to those teenagers who need it. Thank you for what you are doing. Your input and support is invaluable. I sincerely hope for further cooperation and interaction! – said Major General of Police Alexei Ovsyannikov, addressing the volunteers, and encouraged them with letters of thanks and valuable gifts.
