In correctional colony No. 7 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Omsk Region, the convicts gathered a crop of vegetables grown in the greenhouse complex of the institution.
There are two greenhouses on the territory of the institution, each with an area of about 300 square meters. Favorable conditions have been created in the greenhouses, all the necessary communications have been installed, which allow the greenhouse complex to operate twelve months a year.
In 2020, the institution collected 2 tons of cucumbers and 1 ton of tomatoes grown in the greenhouses of the correctional colony.
Seven convicts are employed at this facility. Throughout the year, inmates harvest vegetables that are included in their diet – cucumbers, tomatoes and fresh herbs.
