In the sanatorium of the Central Military District “Volga” in the Samara Region, more than 500 citizens recovered from coronavirus infection underwent rehabilitation under the policy of compulsory medical insurance (MHI).

The possibility of admitting patients from civilian hospitals to the sanatorium was agreed two months ago. Rehabilitation procedures are especially in demand in patients who are afraid to stop treatment, to be left without medical supervision, who have shortness of breath and other symptoms. They receive advice from therapists, psychologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists and other doctors.

Courses of respiratory gymnastics, inhalation to saturate the blood with oxygen, physiotherapy, and drug therapy are conducted with the patients of the military sanatorium. The correct diet also helps to recover, walks on the banks of the Volga River, where the sanatorium is located.
