On the eve in the South Urals, the competitions of the World Cup in snowboarding in alpine disciplines ended. As a result of the tournament, the army team has three awards – two “gold” and “bronze”.

Ensign Dmitry Loginov won the first “gold” of the World Cup stages this season, becoming the first in the discipline of parallel giant slalom. In the decisive race for the first place, Loginov managed to get ahead of another Russian snowboarder Igor Sluyev. The bronze went to the Italian Mirko Felichetti.

The second competition day began with worsening weather conditions – strong winds and a sharp drop in temperature. The organizers were forced to postpone the competition for almost three hours. But this expectation was rewarded. For the first time in history, Russian snowboarders took the entire podium at the home stage of the Snowboard World Cup in parallel slalom discipline.

In the decisive race, Dmitry Loginov passed Stepan Naumov. This victory allowed the soldier to become the owner of the leader’s jersey in the parallel slalom and parallel disciplines of the World Cup.

The winner and medalist of the World Snowboard Championships in Parallel Giant Slalom and Parallel Slalom, winner and multiple medalist of the World Cup stages Andrei Sobolev and Swiss Dario Cavitsela met in the fight for the bronze medal in the small final. As a result, an army athlete was the first to cross the finish line at the finish line.
