The history of the scientific and technical library of the State Budgetary Institution “Mosstroyinform” dates back to 1930. The book fund was formed on the basis of the technical library of the Office for Architecture of the Moscow City Executive Committee and the Design Department of the Moscow City Council. The library received books from the design workshop for the construction of the Palace of Soviets, as well as book collections that belonged to architects Fyodor Shekhtel and Ivan Zholtovsky.

“The fund includes books and printed publications on urban planning and architecture, as well as related fields – painting and sculpture. The reading room is annually visited by designers, specialists in the field of architecture and urban planning, historians and experts interested in the development of Moscow, “added Sergei Levkin.
