“Against the backdrop of a pandemic and an economic downturn, 2020 has been a particularly difficult year for everyone. However, despite the difficulties, the specialists of the employment service managed to quickly restructure all technical processes so that as many Muscovites as possible could find earning opportunities and receive support. Together, we managed to expand the vacancy base to 290 thousand, in the last two weeks alone, it has increased by 30 thousand vacancies. We have employed a record number of Muscovites – 185 thousand people since the beginning of 2020, ”the head of the department noted.

According to the statistics of the employment service, specialists in the service industry are in high demand on the labor market – workers in the beauty and hospitality sectors (hotels, restaurants, catering).

In the context of the pandemic, self-employment became popular; by December 2020, 400 thousand residents of the capital had registered for it. Over the past year, their number has grown by 70 percent. In conditions of uncertainty, many are looking for flexible earning opportunities, therefore, various types of employment are actively developing, including freelancing, self-employment, and part-time work. For those who have a small business, this is a smart way to legalize it and earn income legally. Employment center specialists support everyone who wants to develop alternative types of employment. Muscovites receive basic knowledge of entrepreneurship and the psychological aspects of doing business, as well as learn the basics of planning.

An online forum and educational courses will be organized for self-employed Muscovites

Together with a key partner – Sber – convenient services were created at the site of the flagship center “My Job” for those who want to apply for employment or open their own business. Experts help to choose an effective form of entrepreneurship, develop a business plan and strategy for the development and promotion of a personal brand. Agreements on cooperation and employment have already been reached with six market leaders – Yandex.Eda, Yandex.Lavka, Youdo, Profi.ru, Avito, GettTaxi, SberMarket.

Thanks to a partnership agreement with the largest recruiting company HeadHunter, the number of vacancies in the employment center database has doubled compared to last year… Now there are 290 thousand offers from employers, including Russian Post, Mosgortrans, Tinkoff Bank, X5 Retail Group and Johnson & Johnson.

The Metropolitan Employment Service is the largest state personnel operator in job search. You can get additional advice online on the portal of the employment center “My job” and on the site of the center “My career”… In addition, for everyone there are 56 employment departments, 51 of which are located in the centers of public services “My Documents”, as well as flagship centers with an expanded range of services.
