Servicemen of engineering units of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District (YuVO) have begun the first stages of the ARMI-2021 “Engineering Formula” and “Safe Route” competitions in the North Caucasus.
In the course of training, engineers will have to equip pits at speed with MDK-3 calculations, pave paths through artificial and natural obstacles with the help of BAT-2 track pads, transport equipment through reservoirs on floating conveyors of the PTS, and also move and install anti-tank burials with calculations of IMR engineering vehicles.
The servicemen will have to go through a special obstacle course prepared for engineering assault units, clear minefields and assemble the TMM-3M mechanized bridge.
In total, about 800 engineers of the combined-arms army of the Southern Military District take part in the qualifying stages of the ARMI-2021 “Engineering Formula” and “Safe Route” competitions, the best of whom will represent the 58th Army at the district stage in the Rostov Region.
